I have an elderly dachshund who has dementia.  I am going to start giving him a tablespoon of our L. reuteri yogurt.  Another dachshund, old but not that old, has back issues and I will do the same. Has anyone tried this?  I don’t think it can hurt them.  I might try it on the youngest dachshund as well!  Let me know if anyone has ideas about this.

Dogs can indeed have L. reuteri in their guts. But I do not know whether oxytocin behaves the same in dogs, but I suspect it does.

Any veterinarians in the community?

Good idea! I want to give my dog a yogurt that will help her teeth! She is a chihuahua rescue and the vet says she needs 2,000 worth of teeth cleaning!
