The Topics page displays the selected topic followed by any replies to the topic in reply date order (earliest reply at the top). Click anywhere on the image below to jump directly to a description of the clicked item (or simply scroll through the list). You will also find an interactive graphic for using the Message Editor tools about half way down this help page.

The "Search" menu item provides a more sophisticated way to search for Forum posts than the generic Site Search. In addition to seaching for specific search terms, you may also search Forum posts by last post date, forum name, author, and either within both topics and replies or topics only. Additionally, you may sort the search results by relevance (ranking), post date, number of views, and number of replies. Finally, you may also search for Member profiles by Member Nickname.

The "Messages" item displays the number of unopened messages you currently have in your Private Messages Inbox on the Forum. Click on the "Messages" item to view your Private Messages Inbox.

The "Ask Dr. Davis" feature displays a list of the Top 10 topics Members have asked Dr. Davis to reply to in the last year (with two or more votes). Members vote for topics by clicking the "Ask Dr. Davis" link associated with each topic (you cannot vote for your own topics). Once Dr. Davis replies, the topic is removed form the list.

The "Recent Topics" item displays a list of new topics and replies in the last 24 hours grouped by Forum category and name. Click any topic title to view it in the Forum

The "New Topics" link displays a list of new topics posted to the Forum since your last login. This is a handy way of catching up on topics you may have missed. You may use the drop-down box provided to select to view anywhere from 25 to 100 of the most recent topics posted since your last login. Click any topic title to view it in the Forum

The "New Replies" link displays a list of new replies to topics you have posted to the Forum since your last login. This is another handy way of catching up on replies to your topics you may have missed. You may use the drop-down box provided to select to view anywhere from 25 to 100 of the most recent replies posted since your last login. Click any topic title to view it in the Forum

The "My Topics" link displays a list of the most recent topics you have posted to the Forum. You may use the drop-down box provided to view anywhere from 25 to 100 of your most recent topics. Click any topic title to view it in the Forum

The "My Replies" link displays a list of the most recent replies you have posted to the Forum. You may use the drop-down box provided to view anywhere from 25 to 100 of your most recent replies. Click any topic title to view your reply to that topic in the Forum

The "Abbreviations List" is one of the most comprehensive lists of medical and health term abbreviations available. It contains abbreviations used both on the Inner Circle site and the entire field of personal health. Many abbreviations provide links to additional content both within the Inner Circle and elsewhere on the Internet.

The "Home" link returns you to this list of Forum categories and forums within each category.

Each topic prominently displays a descriptive topic title above the topic message body.

Click the "Reply" button to move to the Reply Editor at the bottom of the page beneath the earlier replies. Click Here to view additional help on creating replies.

The "breadcrumb" navigation line displays the path within the Forum that takes you to the current topic. It is formated like this: Member Forum (the Forum Home page) >> Forum Category >> Topic Title. You may click on the Member Forum and Forum Category to move to the Home Page or the Forum Category listing containing the current topic.

Each topic page displays up to 100 replies (99 on the first page and 100 thereafter) to limit pages to a manageable length. When there are more than 100 replies they are displayed on separate pages. Click the "Page" drop-down to select the desired reply page.

Each topic and reply displays a profile of the Member who created the post. The Profile contain the following information.

Nickname: You selected a Member Nickname when you became a Member (this is typucally different than your Member Username that you use to login but can be the same if you set it up that way). Your Nickname is how you are identified by other Members on the Inner Circle website. This techniques prevents disclosure of your Username.

Avatar: Members are assigned the default Member Avatar at sign up but can change it in their Member Profile. Inner Circle staff Members are identified by the word "Staff" appearing below their avatar.

Join Date: The date the Member joined the Inner Circle.

Posts Contributed: The total number of topics plus replies contributed by the Member.

Total Likes: The number of "Likes" give to posts by the Member from other Members.

Recommends Recd: The total number of other Members who "Recommend" the posts of the Member. You can add Member Recommends on your Account Notifications page.

Ignores Issued: The total number of other Members being "Ignored" by the Member. You can "Ignore" Members on your Account Notifications page. When you ignore a Member, that Member's posts are not visible to you nor can the ignored Member post replies to your topics.

Like It!: Click the "Like it!" link to add a "Like" to the topic or reply. YOu cannot Like a post more than once and you cannot Like your own posts.

Likes Recd: The total number of "LIkes" received by the post from other Members.

Ask Dr. Davis: Click the "Ask Dr. Davis" link to cast a vote to have the topic answered by Dr. Davis. The topics with the most votes are moved to the top of the of topics to be reviewed by Dr. Davis (you can check the Top 10 topics receiving vote by click the "Ask Dr. Davis" link on the Forum menu. If Dr. Davis has answered a topic the link will be replaced with "Answered by Dr. Davis."

Send Private Message: Click the "Send Private Message" link to send a private message to the Member. Private Messages can only be read by the Member it is sent to. If the "Send Private Message" link does not appear in the profile it means the Member does not accept Private Messages. Note: If you send a Private Message to a Member but do not have your "Private Messages" setting set to "Yes" in your profile Account Notifications the Member will not be able to reply to your Private Message using the Private Messages feature. When you ignore a Member, that Member's posts are not visible to you nor can the ignored Member post replies to your topics.

Each topic and reply can display two dates.

Posted: The original date and time the post was submitted. This date also contain a link providing direct link access to the post. It may be copied in the event you want to share a link to the post on another site.

Edited: The time and date the post was last edited. The number in parenthesis to the right of the date and time is the total number of times the post was edited.

Once a post is created there are several controls that can be used to modify the post.

Subscribe/Unsubscribe: Click the "Subscribe" link if you wish to receive a notification eack time the topic receives a reply. If you are already subscribed to the topic click the "Unsubscribe" link to stop receiving reply notifications. Members can be notified of subscribed replies by email and/or Private Message. These settings can be found on the Account Notifications page.

Quote: Click this link to place a copy of the post message on your PC clipboard. This can be useful if you wish to quote some portion of a post in your reply.

Edit: Click this link to open the edit post page. Review additional post editing Help on the edit page.

Delete: Click this link to delete a post. You can only delete posts you submitted

Back to Top: Click this link to go back to the top of the current page.

Adding keyword tags to your post helps other Members find your posts and boost the Search rankings considearably. Follow the directions under the Message Editor to optionally add a list of keyword tags to your post. Always select existing keywords displayed in the dropdown list that match your typed keyword to avoid keyword duplication.

Bold: Highlight the text you wish to make bold then click the "Bold" icon. [Back to Top]

Text Color: Highlight the text you wish to color then click the "Text Color" icon. Text Background Color: Highlight the text you wish to change the background color of then click the "Text Background Color" icon. To change the current color of the tool click the drop-down arrow to display a color chart then click the desired color. Font Name: Highlight the text you wish to change the font for then click the "Font Name" icon and select a font. [Back to Top]

Font Size: Highlight the text you wish to change the size of then click the "Font Size" icon and select a font size. [Back to Top]

Paragraph Style: Highlight the text you wish to change into a bigger/bolder heading font then click the "Paragraph Style" icon and select a style. [Back to Top]

Align Left: Place your cursor in the paragraph you wish to justify then click the "Align Left" icon. Use the "Insert Paragraph" tool to insert paragraph breaks above and below area to be justified if necessary to prevent justification in unintended areas of your message. [Back to Top]

Align Center: Place your cursor in the paragraph you wish to justify then click the "Align Center" icon. Use the "Insert Paragraph" tool to insert paragraph breaks above and below area to be justified if necessary to prevent justification in unintended areas of your message. [Back to Top]

Outdent: Place your cursor in the paragraph you wish to justify then click the "Outdent" icon. Numbered List: Click the "Numbered List" icon to start numbering each new line you type. The first line is always numbered "1." Each successive new line (i.e. after pressing the "Enter" key) typed will be prefixed with a number in increasing order. Click the "Numbered List" icon again to stop numbering each new line. Unordered List: Click the "Unordered List" icon to prefix each new line you type with a "bullet" icon." Each successive new line (i.e. after pressing the "Enter" key) typed will be prefixed with bullet. Click the "Unordered List" icon again to stop prefixing each new line with a bullet. [Back to Top]

Link Manager: The Link Manager allows you to turn text into link which will display any webpage URL on the Internet when clicked. [Back to Top]

• Highlight the text you wish to convert into a link then click the "Link Manager" icon to open the Link Manager popup window.
• If the highlighted text is a valid webpage link it will automatically enter it in the "URL" box.
• Note that if the highlighted text is a link on the Inner Circle site it will automatically remove the part begiining with "https://innercircle.drdavisinfinitehealth.com." This is desireable and will function without issue.
• You may also change the displayed text for your link in "Link Text" box.
• Finally, the default setting is to display your linked page in a new browser tab. If you are familiar with setting the "Target" window window you may also select a different target from the drop-down.
• Click "OK" when you are finished making any edits to your link (if any).

Remove Link: Place the cursor anywhere on a link then click the "Remove Link" icon to to remove the link and return it to regular, unlinked text. [Back to Top]

Image Manager: The Link Manager allows you to upload images and insert them into your Forum post. Pasting images directly into your Forum post is discourage as it places an actual copy of the image into your post. Even small images can be very large in file size which can slow viewing and/or editing of your post and occasionally make your post unreadable. The Forum moderator will be forced to delete your image if it is deemed to negatively affect the operation of the Forum. The Image Manager solves this problem by allowing you to upload images to the Inner Circle Website and simply insert a link to the uploaded image. The Image Manager also keep a library of your uploaded inages which allow you to reuse and insert in the future. Follow the steps below to upload an insert an image. [Back to Top]

• Click the Image Manager icon to open the Image Manager popup window.
• Click the "+ Upload" menu item on the Image Manager menu
• Click the "Select" button on the Upload window to open a file browser on your computer.
• Navigate within your computer file browser to the image you wish to upload and double-click it.
• The selected image file should appear above the Select button.
• Click the "Upload" button to upload the image.
• Locate the image in the image library on the left side of the Image Manager window and double-click it to insert a link to it in your Forum message.

Media Manager: The Media Manager allows you to upload video and audio files and insert them into your Forum post. Audio and video files are unacceptably large and cannot be directly pasted into a Forum Post. The Media Manager solves this problem by allowing you to upload audio and video files to the Inner Circle Website and simply insert a link to the uploaded file. • Click the Image Manager icon to open the Image Manager popup window.
• Click the "+ Upload" menu item on the Image Manager menu
• Click the "Select" button on the Upload window to open a file browser on your computer.
• Navigate within your computer file browser to the file you wish to upload and double-click it.
• The selected file should appear above the Select button.
• Click the "Upload" button to upload the image.
• Locate the file in the file library on the left side of the Document Manager window and double-click it to insert a link to it in your Forum message.

Insert Table: The Insert Table function allows you to quickly create and insert tables into your Forum post. Follow the steps below to insert a table. [Back to Top]

• Click the Insert Table icon to open the Table Editor popup window.
• Drag your cursor across the sample table to select the desired number of row and columns then left click to insert it (you can edit it later).
• If your table is not already selected click anywhere on the table to begin editing it.
• Click the Insert Table icon to reopen the Table Editor popup window.
• Use the 10 "quick edit" icons at the bottom of the window to quickly insert, delete, merge, and split table rows and columns.
• Click the "Table Wizard" link to access complete control over all aspects of your table.

Cell Properties: Click to select any cell within a table then click the Cell Properties icon to open a popup window allowing you to edit any table cell property desired. Click the "OK" button when you have finished editing cell properties. [Back to Top]

Table Properties: Click to select any table then click the Table Properties icon to open a popup window allowing you to edit any table property desired. Click the "OK" button when you have finished editing table properties. [Back to Top]

Paste from Word: The "Paste from Word" tool allow you to preserve formating when pasting content into your message from Microsoft WORD. Click The "Paste from Word" icon to open a popup window where you can paste the desired WORD content. Paste your content into the popup window then click the "Paste" button to paste your WORD content into your message. [Back to Top]

Paste Plain Text: The "Paste Plain Text" tool allow you to strip all formating when pasting content into your message from any source. Click The "Paste Plain Text" icon to open a popup window where you can paste the desired content. Paste your content into the popup window then click the "Paste" button to paste your content into your message as plain text without formating. [Back to Top]

Strip Format: The "Strip Format" tool allow you to strip all or various types of formating from your content. Highlight the content you wish to strip formating from, click the "Strip Format" icon, then click the type of formating you wish to remove from the drop-down. [Back to Top]

Find and Replace: The "Find and Replace" function allows you to quickly find words and phrases in your message and replace them if desired. Follow the steps below to Find words and phrases in your message. [Back to Top]

• Click the Find and Replace icon to open the Find and Replace popup window.
• Enter the word or phrase you wish to search for.
• Click the "Find" button to find each occurrence of the search term. Found items will be highlighted in your message.
• You may also specify the direction of the search and whether the search is case-sensitive or must match whole words.
• Click the Close" when done.

• Click the Find and Replace icon to open the Find and Replace popup window.
• Click the "Replace" tab.
• Enter the word or phrase you wish to find and replace.
• Enter the word or phrase you wish to replace found words or phrases with.
• Click the "Replace All" button to replace all occurrences of the search term.
• A popup window will display the number of replacements made.
• Click the "Find Next" button to find the first and successive occurrences of the search term.
• Each found search term will be highlighted in succession each time the Find Next button is clicked.
• Click the "Replace" button to replace the highlighted occurrence with the replacement term.
• A popup window will alert you the term was not found as it has just been replaced. The replacement will become visible after clicking the "OK" button in the popup window.
• You may also specify the direction of the search and whether the search is case-sensitive or must match whole words.
• Click the Close" when done.

Select All: Click the "Select All" icon to select your entire message for editing. [Back to Top]

Full Screen Mode: Click the "Full Screen Mode" icon to expand the editor to full size of your display. Click the "Full Screen Mode" icon again to return the editor to to its normal size. [Back to Top]

Horizontal Rule: Click the "Horizontal Rule" icon to insert a "horizontal rule" (full width separator bar) at the position of your cursor. [Back to Top]

New Paragraph: Click the "New Paragraph" icon to start a new paragraph at the position of your cursor (paragraph spacing will be inserted). [Back to Top]

Insert Symbol: The "Insert Symbol" function allows you to to enter special symbols and characters into your message. [Back to Top]

• Click the Insert Symbols icon to open the Symbol popup window.
• Click on any of the displayed symbols to insert it into your message.

Undo: The "Undo" function allows you cancel previous actions. [Back to Top]

• Click the "Undo" icon to open the Undo popup window.
• Previous editor action are displayed in reverse chronological order with the most recent action at the top.
• Click any of the actions displayed in the drop-down to undo that action.

Redo: The "Redo" function allows you restore actions previouly canceled by the "Undo" function actions. [Back to Top]

• Click the "Redo" icon to open the Redo popup window.
• Previously canceled (Undo) editor action are displayed in reverse chronological order with the most recent canceled action at the top.
• Click any of the actions displayed in the drop-down to reinstate (redo) that action.
