Hi everyone and welcome back to Heart Hawk's Health Lab. I'm your host and member advocate Heart Hawk. And today we're going to have a box opening featuring two Luvele yogurt makers. We have on my left here the pure yogurt maker and on my right, the pure plus yogurt maker. The only real difference between these two devices is that the pure plus yogurt maker is a 2.1 quart container for making large batches of yogurt. While the pure yogurt maker has four individual 400 milliliter yogurt containers, which would allow you to make small batch yogurt, but presumably of different, uh, varieties. So for, for example, if you wanted to make Lactobacillus reuteri and Lactobacillus gasseri, you can make both of these at the same time in the yogurt because you'd maintain the same temperature for either. So let's go, let's commence with the box opening. Uh, let's start with the pure yogurt maker. With the four, 400 milliliter containers. You can see they come in a beautiful box and let's pop this baby open. And the first thing is you're going to see is the instruction manual and a little warranty card.

00:01:13
You don't actually have to register these devices to get the warranty. They're packed really well. And then the device itself is in a plastic bag with a lid that's hooked on with four pieces of tape that you're gonna have to remove. I've actually pre bent these tabs or else you're going to take a good upon a time to get these plastic strips off. This One's still a little sticky. And then as we unpack more of this, like I said, these are really packed. Well, we will get to the bottom where you have your four individual containers each individually wrapped in packed. And so let's put this off to the side so we can get into the guts of this thing. So here's the yogurt maker. Take off the lid power cords inside. And you can see that this vessel, they error claim to fame is that this vessel has, is almost like a sous vide. You put water in the base and that keeps the temperature even, uh, as the heating element right here in the middle does its job.

00:02:50
So how it work, let's get these containers. Each of them fits nicely into each quadrant. You can see here how each of these is individually wrapped. And again, you can see you have your four containers. Each of these could contain 400 milliliters, a little less than half of a quart. Um, the lids and all the containers are dishwashers safe. So we simply pour in the water, make sure we don't go past the edge here so it doesn't drip out and turn the machine on. Operating this machine is really, really simple. Let me show you how that's done. Get the power cord out here, plug the unit in, plug it into some power. You'll hear a little beep. Let me just move around to the side here to show you exactly what this going on. We'll get a nice camera shot here. Once it's turned on, you'll see it says zero F operation is very simple. All you have to do is push this button first, then you can increase or decrease the temperature. Let's set this guy for a hundred degrees. Pretend we'll make an L. reuteri yogurt here. It moves up and down in two degree increments.

00:04:35
Push this button here on the left and then you get to set the timer, 1 to 36 hours. I'll give you a little hint. If you go down, it'll go past zero all the way to 36. And then you simply push the, um, confirm cancel button. And that's it. Put your lid on and you are good to go. Okay, let's clean this mess up here and move on to the pure plus with the large 2.1 quart container. Okay, onto the Luvele Pure Plus open this beautiful box. They send it to you in once again, we have the instructions once Packed very firmly so as to not damage the device wrapped in a plastic bag. See if we can get this bag open box out of the way. Here again, you've got the, uh, tape strips holding the top on securely to remove all of those. Lift off the top. And here you can see the 2.1 quart container again with the silicone dishwasher safe lid. There's also a, um, anti-skid band that you can put.

00:06:32
You can simply slide that over the top and down. We won't do it here, but that because this is a heavier device, you don't want to slide around and potentially break the container. We'll leave that off. But you would put your contents in the container power cord, more wrapping. And you'll see this device is much like the other heating element is down here. Plug it in. Can use the same power cord from the last device you'll get beep and programming. It is exactly like the other. You push the temp time button, you adjust your temperature up and down in two degree increments. You push the button again, you adjust your time in one hour increments, and then you push the confirm button. If you decide to change your mind, you can simply hit the cancel button and start all over again. Place your container in the water bath, put on the lid Away. You're going in 36 hours. You've got beautiful L. reuteri yogurt or anything else you wanna make. Uh, again, this would be suitable for Bacillus coagulans

00:07:58
because you can take the temperature all the way up to 122 all the way down to about 78 for yogurts that you want to do. Maybe a kefir where you want to keep it at room temperature. So there you have it. Two relatively inexpensive, beautiful, easy to use. Yogurt makers, they go anywhere from 1 to 36 hours, 78 to 122 degrees. So there's really nothing you couldn't ferment in these babies. They have a fantastic feature where they're in a water bath to assure that the temperature is evenly distributed throughout almost like a mini sous vide. And to wrap things up, we will post a forum topic in the forum where you can ask additional questions and anything you might wanna know about the Lali yogurt makers. Thanks everyone. And like always be safe and take your health into your own hands.
