I’ve heard that magnesium is better absorbed when taking it with vitamin B6.

Have you tried that?

I don’t know, but I also don’t seem to absorb minerals in general well.

Dr Davis has mentioned a number of times that it takes years to build up magnesium. 
And some of us were dangerously low prior to dropping grains and supplementing.

The simple solution is to only purchase magnesium products in which the quantity of elemental magnesium is clearly specified. If it is not, don’t buy it.

Unless you have some three-year-old MOM, your mag water is laced with bleach. 

The program calls for 400mg of magnesium.

Thanks for the additional info, hopscotch!  I usually take my mag with food, but don’t have breakfast until 10 or so (fasting).  Wondering if I should take the mag first thing anyway.  Or have a bite of something.  We’ll see.
