TYP works. Well at least for me and for that I am glad thanks to Dr. Davis and my fellow TYPers.
In summary my bone density has increased and the Alk Phosphatase indicate more bone growth and this happened after adding K2 to my regular supplements.
Some of you may remember that a few years ago I was treated for Prostate cancer. My treatment of choice was external beam x-ray and seed implants. Well part of that followup was to check my bone density annually.

Now this is a new area not normally discussed at TYP but bear with me and you will see why I am posting this. OK like lots of things about our existence over time they degrade. Well you may already know that bone density slowly declines after 20 years of age. There are a lot of statics developed for normal bone density of an average person of a given age. The CT scan using software calculates density at very specific locations of the skeleton. Then these density readings are compared to population means. Bottom line higher densities better. Looking across the chart you will notice my bone density drops after the radiation treatment. Also notice that I start taking vitamin D3 and my blood levels are corrected to TYP targets. It was later that I noticed that I should also be taking K2 and that is when my bone densities started to rise. I shall continue to post updates but the next will not appear for two years. It would be nice if others would post their experience if they have had several bone scans or Bone-specific alkaline phosphatase readings while correcting Vitamin D & K. Once we have 30-40 people reporting their experiences there is enough information to develop a scientific paper on the subject. We currently do not have a way to measure the effect of K2. I like others have low heart scan scores. It is gratifying to see my bone density rising which beats the normal trend. It also helps me to know my K2 & D3 are working.
I take a Life Extension Vitamin K2 supplement with 100 mcg of menaquinone-7 and 1 mg of menaquinone-4 a single soft gel per day. And my Vitamin D3 is Healthy Origins once again a soft gel.
Here is my financial disclamer I do not own stock in either of these low cost preparations companies. My only reason for sharing my results is to help my fellow man live a healthy life.

Thanks Chickadee,
I think I'm alright. I'm guessing using K-2 and working D3 together, they balance things out. HB

Peter
Your chart shows a PSA of 1.99 in 10/06 to 0.04 in 02/09. How did you get a PSA of .04 from a PSA of 1.99.
I've never seen a PSA that low as 0 .04 ?

canoe2:  when you get your scan ask them to include the fat scan option.

obtw:  i saw first hand the fosimax danger and you don't want to go down that road.

take your D and Mag

Thanks Peter. I thought the .04 PSA was a misprint. I'm glad I asked Thanks. HB
