On December 4th, 2017, an abdominal ultrasound found the following:
"1.4 cm oval hyperechoic mass in the left hepatic lobe and adjacent 1.3 cm hyperechoic
mass, possibly representing hemangiomas."
The report suggested doing an MRI for further clarification.
I got the MRI (with and without contrast) done yesterday (February 20th, 2018), and it found no such masses:
"No abnormality is seen to correlate with the abnormalities described in the left hepatic lobe on the prior outside ultrasound study report."

I am not sure how to interpret the above 2 observations. Two possibilities come to my mind:
1) There was some abnormality on December 4th, 2017 which resolved in next two months.
2) I still have some abnormality that can be seen by ultrasound, but not by MRI (with or without contrast). If so, what kind of masses show up in ultrasound but not in MRI? I hope I don’t have any serious abnormality, e.g. cancerous growth in the liver.

I guess I should get a liver ultrasound done soon to confirm/refute the 1) possibility. Is there some way to order a liver ultrasound without a doctor approval? If not, can some doctor here send me a prescription? (I will pay out of pocket, not with insurance)

Indeed, during my recent abdominal ultrasound, the technician couldn’t find those hemangiomas.
