I started the low carb high fat diet two months ago, and my husband joined me on the diet 5 weeks ago.

It took many years of trial and error, but he finally found a combination of medications, (high doses of) magnesium, and other nutritional supplements that work well for him.

He had his annual visit with his cardiologist this week, and we learned that he was in asymptomatic A Fib which has never happened before. Now, the only way he can tell when he's in A Fib is by checking his pulse.

We suspect that the diet may have played a role by 1) increasing cortisol and 2) affecting his electrolyte balance.

Does anyone here have experience with this?

Many thanks!

I believe it is okay to add after the magnesium bicarbonate has been created, Tim.

Thanks much for both of your replies!
Bob - Why are you thinking the RDA for K may be too high?
Low Na V8 has 1,000mg of K. I don’t try for low Na.
I follow a keto diet, as well as OMAD four days per week.

Quoted From Boo: Did you ever try the Jigsaw SRT?
No, I’ve never tried that dimagnesium malate.

magnesium is only one of the elements used to fire the SA node.

magnesium, potassium, sodium, calcium and boron are your required elements to fire the SA node.

Also, Iron Man, is there a citation regarding boron and the SA node? That’s not something I’ve run across before except for boron aiding magnesium absorption.

The product is Double Wood Magnesium Malate 1500 mg. Let me know if you have heard anything bad about it I was looking mostly for the Elemental numbers. Thank you.

I think I will try the magnesium water, but it doesn’t sound like it tastes very good even with Stevia and I have a gag reflex for something that tastes really bad. Any hints to make it go down easy?

Magnesium Water should have no taste.

If you detect "off" flavors or scents, then you may have purchased a mild of magnesia that has sodium hypochlorite. We avoid brands with this additive (bleach).
